@Tsuyoshi, thanks. Yes, it's definitely harder to find than it should be! :)

comment Why does our blog not show up on front page of blogoverflow?
Furthermore, it seems that the link from our main site to the blog should always be there. Otherwise, people won't know we even have a blog unless they happen to visit the site within two days of a post.

Is this even something the moderators have the power to undo?

Yes, I've become convinced that's better than crossposting :)

comment Conventions on downvoting
Would you say it's okay to downvote if the post already has a comment explaining why it's bad? (In that case, I sometimes upvote the comment and downvote the post.)

@Aaron maybe you should make this an answer (that there's no policy, you and Joe don't mind, but the SE ppl do), and I'll accept it?

Thanks! (I've submitted a blog post for approval). I think what I might do instead is post a summary on my blog or something. The reason I wanted to cross-post is because a blog post is a lot of work and is also informative to the readers, and the readerships of the two blogs probably don't overlap by much. But I could just as easily do a summary or a pointer instead... I'll see.

I would do the latter: post it on two blogs and inter-link, like: hunch.net/?p=1569 and cacm.acm.org/blogs/blog-cacm/100785-to-videolecture-or-not/…
